Until recognition of death how can there be any knowledge of it? - Buddha
I am squishy the waxworm, oracle of the gods, conveying messages to my people.
"Light dispels Darkness, wisdom dispels ignorance."
Today I saw the world. The breeze was cool, laden with mist. I was held by the hands of my gods. I was carried though a meadow of grass and trees, lush beyond my wildest dreams.
I came to awareness when I saw the world beyond my home. The land I had eaten and lived in was torn away from me and as I was lifted, the gods chose me to see the world. Why? I do not know.
I know that I was enlightened. I had always thought of the gods as cruel beings, beings who chose who lives and who dies. Today I saw they were slaves in their own right. I realized they were slaves to us. They worked for us, toiling for hours, cleaning our homes, providing more land for us to eat, taking away our waste.
As I returned to the group who were chosen and never return, I preached what I had seen. Some were returned to the land, as was I. The gods favored me today.
